Here’s a question for you. Should friends start dating? Well, we know most of you have been in this situation at one time or another. But did it work out?
There have been some reports of significant relationships starting after years of friendship. And some not so much. But the ones that did work, what made them work?
Sometimes, two people have been friends for a very long time. They have seen each other goes through a marriage and a divorce. And, they were there for each other right after the bad relationship ended.
And then some time goes by, and one or the other gets something in their brain thinking they should date their friend.
Can friendship become a relationship?
So when two people have been friends for a long time do they have a better chance of their relationship?
We found a few couples who were in a relationship which started out as friends and they have been married for years ever since. We saw in one pair we asked; they just seemed like the perfect fit for each other after years of being friends.
After all, isn’t a relationship suppose to include your best friend. The person who you can confide in and talk to about everything.
We think a relationship should be where two people compliment each other and not bring each other down.
Its what seems to happen when two people are friends for a long time and then get involved. Usually, it seems people become friends because they have the same likes and dislikes. Its what keeps their friendship going for years.
So, have you found yourself divorced or out of a bad relationship? And, did you take a look around to see if one of your friends was there? If not, then why not take a look and see if you can rekindle a relationship with someone you new years ago as a friend.
There’s nothing to it, just give them a call and see what they are up to these days.
Friends are like-minded, good for dating!
However, if that person always thought of you as just a good friend and they told you that for years, and you’re we secretly interested in them, it may not work. But if it’s been years since you’ve seen each other, you could always give it a try.
Friendships are great, and they can last a lifetime for sure. But, if you do have interest in someone as a friend, the choice is yours if you want to pursue it or not.
The one thing that sticks out in our mind is that friends are like minded people usually. And this means if you start dating your friend, you could get along great with them in a relationship.
But, how do you approach them about it? How do you say “I Love You,” to someone you have known for years. The trick does not be scared. And, if you don’t ask them then you will never know, will you?
You may want to take the simple approach and just buy them flowers one day with a little card saying how you feel. Or you could just come out with your feelings right at dinner.
Do you see our drift? The point is who knows it friends work out better when they go into a relationship later on. Sure, there may be some studies done on it and all. But we do know, that you will never know unless you try.
